Brad Bryant
Executive Director
Brad Bryant has worked in the field of treatment foster care for over 30 years as a line worker, supervisor, trainer and administrator. He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University and hold a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Virginia.
Pat Campbell
Director of Social Services
Pat Campbell, a founding member of the agency, received a B.A. from Mary Baldwin College and a Master's of Education from the University of Virginia. In order to meet the agency's LCPA requirement for a Director of Social Services, she earned a Master's Degree in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to her role as Director of Social Services, she has served as a supervisor and counselor.
Doris Moore
Regional Director
Doris Moore is a clinical Social Worker from Buffalo NY. Ms. Moore has conducted individual, marital and Family therapy since 1982 when she received her MSW from the University of Buffalo. Since that time, she has worked as Family Advocacy Social Worker for the Department of the Army in Mainz Germany, Director of the Family Based Treatment Program (a therapeutic foster care progam) in Buffalo NY.
In 1993 Ms. Moore moved to Staunton Virgina where she became the Admissions Coordinator as well as a trainer and consultant for People Places Inc. She has held several positions within the organization, including assistant director of People Places Inc, Director of the Supported Adoption Program and her current position of Regional Director of People Places of Charlottesville, which she has held since August 2002.
Keith Houff
Regional Director
Keith Houff first began with People Places in 1976. His first job with People Places was as a group leader of a job social skills group. His history includes working as a teaching aide at Pygmalion School in Verona, a program manager, admission coordinator, program supervisor, assistant director, Director of Friends of the Family and counselor.
Keith received his doctorate (Ed.D.) in counseling psychology from Va. Tech in 1985. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Keith became the Director of the Valley Offices in 2001, and he also does family counseling focusing on children with complex histories of trauma and neglect.
Carol Bright
Pygmalion School Director
Carol Bright graduated from Madison College in 1976 magna cum laude with a BS. in Special Education for Emotionally Disturbed Students. She later went on to complete the Masters of Education program at James Madison College in 1987, with a concentration in Learning Disabilities.
She has been at People Places since 1978 working in a variety of jobs that include: special education teacher, line worker, mentor, group leader, supervisor, and administrator. She currently serves as the director of Pygmalion Schools.
Rick Cook
Regional Associate Director
Rick has worked with special needs children for the past 35 years in a variety of settings including Inpatient psychiatric, juvenile detention with 15 of those years in therapeutic foster care. His duties have included direct care, supervision, training and administration. He earned a BS in psychology from James Madison University.
Linda Currence
Regional Associate Director
Linda Currence began her career in the human services field with the Charlottesville Department of Social Services in 1976, spending the last 12 years there as a Social Worker in the Child & Family Unit. In 1995, Linda joined People Places when the Charlottesville office opened, holding positions as Family Consultant, Adoption Coordinator, and Supervisor. She has been the Regional Associate Director since 2002. Linda has a BA in Psychology from the University of Maine, holds a Masters in Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as VCU's Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
Michael Blinn
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Blinn began working in the IT Department at People Places in 1998. With his background in Information Systems and resource management, Michael built an efficient infrastructure to support the needs of the staff and further the mission of People Places. In 2010 Michael assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer, and is currently responsible for financial planning, record-keeping and reporting. Michael has a BS in Management and Organizational Development.
