People Places’ primary service is Treatment Foster Care (TFC).
TFC was developed to create safe and nurturing homes for children to keep them in their communities and out of residential and/or psychiatric facilities. Treatment Foster Care is goal-directed and results-oriented, emphasizing permanency planning and creating a sense of belonging for the child. Children in TFC often receive additional wrap-around services to support their placement, which may include:
- Individual and Family Therapy
- Independent Living Skill Building
- Pygmalion School, our Alternative School for Children with Special Education Needs
- Ride with Pride, a partner in Therapeutic Horseback Riding
- Psychoeducational Groups
- Therapeutic Mentoring
