Hanna Foster

Hanna is a licensed professional counselor in private practice in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she received her MA and Ed.S degrees from James Madison University. Prior to opening her practice, she served as a clinician and program director at a child advocacy center. In that role, she frequently had the opportunity to work with children involved with child protection and foster care programs. Her ongoing professional interests include trauma treatment, mindfulness-based therapy, and expressive therapeutic modalities. Hanna is passionate about the organizational health of programs that serve children and families, and she is delighted to serve on the People Places Board. She lives in Staunton with her family, which includes a small menagerie of adorable and naughty pets. Her interests include cooking, gardening, outdoor adventures, making art/pottery, and listening to live music.
