Recap: People Places 1st Golf Tournament

Written by: Kindall Stevenson, Marketing, Advertising & Recruitment Specialist

On September 15th, People Places held its first ever golf tournament at the Waynesboro Country Club. In total, $3,617.84 dollars were raised, and all proceeds will support therapeutic groups for foster children! These groups assist children as they learn valuable social and independent living skills, relaxation skills, relationship building, and how to manage emotions. From these groups, foster children can begin to heal from neglectful and abusive experiences in a safe and therapeutic setting.

People Places would like to thank all 56 golfers who participated and our amazing sponsors, who made this event possible:

Our tournament winners were:

  • Longest Drive hole 6: Rick Cook
  • Closest to the Pin Hole 14: Steve Elkins
  • Closest to the Pin Hole 7: Chris Hensley
